Welcome to Harmonica Bridge Festival
Take part in the biggest harmonica
event in Europe.
Time left to the first concert of Harmonica Bridge Festival 2012 edition:
The program of Harmonica Bridge Festival is framed particularly attractive this year.
As usual we will host various harmonica viruosos expressing themselves in different musical conventions. Guests from Lithuania, Great Britain, Spain, Hungary, Mexico are going to prove that it is possible to play harmonica in classical music, folk, hip-hop, bluegrass, ragtime and of course blues. We will also have Polish artists: celebrating their 30th anniversary The Blues Nightshift with jazz Big Band conducted by Bogdan Ciesielski. A somewhat extention of the Festival formula is going to be a performance by Warsaw Accordion Quintet. Can it be a surprise? Not really, as accordion is a close relative to harmonica - in both instruments these are reed plates that produce sound.
Festival concerts on 24, 25 and 26 August 2012 will be held in various places within the Old Town of Torun. Detalis to be found at Program 2012.
Great attraction - especially for those who play harmonica - will be instrumental workshops run by one of the most prominent harmonica viruosos - Steve Baker.
For the first time in Torun there will also be organized a harp contest of young players (though dedicated not only to young).
